Each year, Walt Disney World in Florida celebrates Easter with a special Easter parade in Magic Kingdom and decorations around the resorts.

The Easter parade at Magic Kingdom happens on two days - Easter and the day before Easter. It is not listed on the My Disney Experience app, so you just have to know about it or ask a cast member. The Easter parade is considered a preshow to the Festival of Fantasy parade, so you can assume the timing will be a few minutes before that parade. This year, there were two Festival of Fantasy parades each day, one at 12:30pm and 3:30pm. The Easter parade started around 20 minutes before Festival of Fantasy, but we found Main Street U.S.A. to be mostly filled up with people reserving their spot an hour in advance. The parade does start back in Frontierland, so it takes around an additional 20 minutes to get to Main Street. The exclusive Easter parade is super cute and worth seeing if you're in Magic Kingdom. It featured special characters like White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland and the one and only Easter Bunny. You can watch the full video of Magic Kingdom's Easter parade here.

The resorts around Walt Disney World feature special Easter egg displays skillfully crafted from chocolate by the pastry team. We went to see the displays at the Grand Floridan Resort, and Yacht and Beach Club Resorts.

The Grand Floridian Resort had the biggest display of Easter eggs filling the entire main lobby with uniquely themed eggs inspired by Disney characters, parades, and rides. There are also special Easter treats available for purchase in the pop up shop in the lobby. The displays change each year and are always well worth a visit to get in the Easter spirit and be dazzled by the creatively designed eggs.

Keep in mind, if you plan on heading to the Grand Floridian, you can typically only get past security for parking if you have a confirmed dining reservation. The Grand Floridian Cafe is a cute, casual restaurant that usually has available reservations if you want to eat at the resort to guarantee parking. There are also more expensive, fancy restaurants like Citricos, Narcoossee's, and Victoria & Albert's. For a character meal, try 1900 Park Fare, but be sure to plan in advance because these reservations can be hard to snag. Another option for getting to the Grand Floridian is parking at Magic Kingdom, take the monorail or ferry from TTC to the park entrance, then get on the resort monorail or resort boat to the Grand Floridian. You can also take a resort bus from any of the four theme parks or Disney Springs.

The Beach Club's Easter egg display was inspired by Epcot with several Flower and Garden Festival themed eggs, different countries, and an impressive Groot holding a cassette tape. All the Easter eggs at Disney's Yacht Club were Moana themed featuring Pua, Kakamora, and a very shiny Tamatoa.

Just like Disney's Grand Floridian, you typically need a dining reservation to park at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts. However, they a short walk from Epcot and the Skyliner, so you can more easily access these resorts connecting on the Skyliner, or by exiting Epcot by the France pavilion and walking over.
The exact dates vary each year that Disney displays the Easter eggs at the resorts. This year, they were on display about one month before Easter, and only left up for a couple of days after Easter.
